– Gillingham battens down hatches
Today
Nick Gillingham, Olympic swimmer, came to otters to
put the final bolt into the construction of the 4.1
million pound development of a sports complex including
a new swimming pool. The pool itself is being built
on the side of the current secondary school but will
provide a new home for Okehampton Otters in 2005. He
will be completing the ceremony on behalf of the swimming
club and will then attend a celebration and presentation
evening.
